Was staying in a friends in Navan on Friday night and went to visit Trim castle on Saturday. I have to say I was very impressed by the castle. It’s in such good nick for something built around the 1200’s. The tour is very informative and well worth the few quid. I was surprised by how cheap it was. It’d under 4 quid for an adult. The only disappointment was the weather. It was very very wet and extremely cold so as a result I didn’t even take one photo. Makes a change from usual though, I actually had to listen to the guide as I wasn’t trying to lose the group the get photos with no people in them
