I booked another hot air balloon trip for this morning. I had to ring the company at 6.15am to get the go ahead based on weather. I got the go ahead. I was being picked up at 6.45am. Dashed back to the room, got ready got picked up. All the other passengers were picked up and we were on our way to the field for take off. About 5 minutes from the field the bus driver got a call from the balloon pilot to say the wind had picked up and he wasn’t flying so we all got dropped back and that was there. Mega disappointed but what can I do. I had lovely breakfast when the cafes opened at 8am, did the Queenstown gondola and saw a kiwi bird at a wildlife park. Lunch was a fergburger with swiss cheese.Mmmmm. I fly to Auckland to stay the night tonight and then it’s a bus to Mount Doom tomorrow.
